Let's be the islamic's economists

I am student of Kulliyyah of Economics and Science Management would like to take this opportunity to thank our lecturer for making this task. It is our responsibility as Muslim students to relate all ilm that we earned in this world to Allah and his religion. One of the characteristics of Islam is “syumuliah” which means include all aspect of life. Islam is not only talked about aqeedah, akhlak, fiqh, and sirah but it includes all sort of knowledge in order to increased level of human being. So, in practicing Islam, muslim should apply all the lessons in many aspects such as politics, economics, welfare, administration and many more. As a result, we can success in developing our own economics and politics without depending on western influence more.

Nowadays, Muslim countries are weak. They are totally depending on western country. As a consequence, the economic instability in those countries likes having recession will also give a big impact to Muslim countries. In concerning to this problem, it is responsibility of economics student to master in economy and contributing their ideas in order to address economics problem according with Islamic teachings. The successful of Islam can be achieved through the ability of conquering the economic and also the politics of the world. When Muslim countries can lead the growth of world‘s economic so the international trading can be done through the Islamic way which at last results in the expansion of Islam. In addition, economic stability is the crucial thing in strengthen the financial support for Muslim countries. Currently, the Muslim society is practicing economic without considering the Islam boundaries. The problem likes usury and high interest are spreading among the society. Besides that, most of economic sources are coming from “haram” activities. So, as a Muslim that care about this problem, I think we should take a first step by learning about economic and at last change the economic system in the country so it is not going beyond Islam boundaries anymore. Last but not least, let’s us together contribute something to Islam in order to bring Islam to be at the top at the eye of the world as what was achieved by Muslim before.

in my opinion,one of the ways to improve islamic economy is by supporting muslim products and stop buying non-muslim products..
this may be hard to do as most of the products sell in the market are owned by the non-muslim companies..maybe we can start little by little and slowly..for example, instead of buying milo we can buy vico or instead of buying starbucks we can buy kopiesatu and etc..

a malay proverb says that: sikit-sikit lama-lama jadi bukit..

which means,,a little,if always be added,will become many..in other thought, a small action if we continuously do, will cause huge consequence..

so lets start supporting our muslim products now!!!

I agree that it is important to support the Muslim products but the question is that will it actually affect or cripple the economy of the Israel,they receive profit from franchising which means fixed portion of profit regardless of the profit earn by the certain franchise.So basically we will only affect our country's revenue not theirs actually.But in the niyyah aspect it is a start towards building the unity of the ummah by supporting Muslim products.It is also symbolic,as as symbol of the unity of Muslims.
Another way could be to expose more of the situation in the Islamic countries to ourselves and others close to us.In IIUM especially,more programs about the Islamic countries situation and invitations of Muslims from those countries to share their experience with us.Awareness is important towards change in thinking,then only necessary actions can be done.We can carry out actions that are more than just symbolic in future insya-allah.

and then our customers should know what is the purpose of Islamic economy such as puchase Halal product.
